We are sorry if our actions offended you but we work very closely with Richmond licencing to ensure the business is not put at risk for what is a very busy riverside pub. place was empty. The lady at the front who was taking bookings yelled at us across the pub when we tried to move tables and then didn’t come and offer any apology or help us move to a table in the shade. Mon – Fri – 4.30pm to 22:00pm Sat – Sun – 12pm to 22.00pm.

Oh sorry I already know. We do have to be strict with our seating plan on busy days. We fortunately ended up at The Old Ship down the road and were given a completely different welcome to the one received at the White Cross. I shall pass them on to the team. It made his member of staff look a bit daft and wasn't particularly tactful. At this point we could have walked out, as you pay your money you take your choice.

Ironically, on my way out, people had commented on how rude the staff were, deciding to also turn around and find another place to enjoy their day.

Fairly small inside but best visited on a fine weather day when the large raised outside patio drinking area to the front of the pub and the smaller balcony accessed through the higher of the inside rooms can be utilised.
