Their sushi is not all that either. Hidden all the way in the back parking lot lies this hidden gem. It's not the cheapest…, I usually frequent Umi Sake House a few blocks away and I'm not sure I'll ever wait in line at Umi again after this 1st highly impressionable visit…, We went here just a week ago... we were hungry and just happen to stumble across it. Second time the same night was for a drink with K town, and I got to try sparkling sake... which is DELISH! Drinks reasonably priced. It's a fun place with a interesting menu, and great happy hour deals, but if you want real, traditional izakaya food, head to the ID.

If you look at the picture, the cut of nigiri itself shows how tough it is to chew, much less slice with a sushi knife!

The chicken karaage was yummy; not as great as other places in the ID, but a respectable offering. My server was so wonderful -- attentive, super friendly, and efficient. It also has other features that you'll just have to visit to experience for yourself! I've never seen sashimi dressed up so much, if the fish was actually fresh, I don't see why they would need to douse it in truffle oil and basil (tuna) or pesto and lemon (salmon).

The prices are definitely higher than average, higher than Ota actually, which I do not understand. Surprisingly squishy for something deep fried.Stuffed mushrooms? I would not even give a 1 star to this place! It's hard to go wrong here. If you like hand rolls, you have to have the spicy scallop roll. Been coming here 20 years now the last time I stop coming here for 5 years I guess again I have to fined a new hang out. They were literally huge full of cream cheese and other fillings that were absolutely delicious!!

Mexican roll - very good, not as spicy if you take the jalapeño off the top. I'd bet in August - you'd need a reservation - or be lined up out the door, across the street, and down on the ocean walk with the seals.

Service was very kind. BUT- You should pay a higher price for better quality sushi.

We got 2 specialty rolls, the Bruce Lee and Zig Zag. Fresh cuts of sashimi or hand rolls stuffed with freshly caught fish makes my heart melt.

I'm really not picky with sushi at all but this was not good. They've always had good food and customer service and they've kept it up during this time, too.

I eat in restaurants everyday and never write a review. COVID update: Shiki Sushi has updated their hours, takeout & delivery options. Fresh ingredients...great rice and great flavor.

I love sushi. The salt and pepper roll was too salty which made everything else salty too. We had some fried, stuffed jalapenos (really good) and three rolls: the Bruce Lee, the Crunchy Roll, and a basic spicy tuna roll. This is not to say that you should abuse the system and I am definitely not suggesting that you can and should come in 10-15 minutes before the end of happy hour.
