I came to this for Brian Blessed. I'm sorry for this director. -Because there's no lead-in to the drama, there's no character building either. The performances are OK, the costumes and use of genuine castle locations add some authenticity, and the sword play is solid enough. The props are few and poorly made. And Brian Blessed is thoroughly wasted. I rarely write reviews, in this case I have too. How can anyone even screw up Robin Hood as bad as this? This is among the worst films I have ever seen.
