Dreamscape is a film that is said to have been one of the possible influences for Inception, which is one of my favorites. Dreamscape operates as the OG Paprika/Inception - seeing Dennis Quaid drafted into a government funded program dealing with dream manipulation, only to have shadowy operatives hope to use it for assassination attempts. For example, I remembered the snake man popping up and scaring Buddy and Alex, but I'd completely forgotten that he was a motion capture puppet. The "snake man" is impressive, and the actual dreamscapes themselves feature some inventively bizarre set design. It’s a shame they adopted such a short-sighted, cynical marketing approach to this film, because it doesn’t need to be Raiders of the Lost Ark –…. One I'd like to make note of is that a snake monster appears in two different forms here.

During the events of the film dreamscape, a young boy called buddy is being harrased by nightmares, one of witch involves a horrifying snake man, alex a psycic goes into his dream to help, he metts buddy who tells him about the snake man the snakeman then grabs buddy throgh the window but lets go.

Even though I never saw this one as a kid, it still brings feelings of nostalgia and entertains on many levels.I can’t help but wonder if Christopher Nolan saw this and drew inspiration for Inception.
