During group you won't be teaching the main concept the first time, you are reviewing, reinforcing and answering questions. Any suggestions??? Do you have a separate time of day that you do them? They are not grasping the concepts. Once you can get a good idea on your students, you can determine what route you want to go. I also usually have individual whiteboards for each student for practice. Sometimes it depends on the day and the lesson that needs to be taught. I can understand giving a worksheet at this time to reinforce skills but I am not sure what a Maths Journal or maths boxes are.Also, I have access to laptops, would you incorporate skill building on maths websites (the students pay a subscription to a very good one called mathletics) as one of the rotations?
